Commissioned by Dr. Jeffry A. Jahn and the Arizona Repertory Singers, "Bloom" was inspired by a painting by Sherryl Holland as part of the Voices At An Exhibition project during the Spring 2014 concert season. The text of the work describes the eternal struggle for life to emerge from death.  Accompanying this is a remembrance of the past and everyone and everything that has already departed from this life.
