Commissioned by clarinetist Rachel Robichaud, "Quartet for Three Bass Clarinets and Contra" aims to exploit both the incredible range of the low clarinets as well as the power present in their articulation and dynamics. With a constant pulse underlying the work, musical lines interweave through each other to create a cohesive and singular vision.
